Ray was sulking, he didn't like this one bit. Here he was, sat on a bench outside the town hall, a huge crowd wandering aimlessly around him. Everyone was waiting, waiting for Richard and his superior Mutant friends to tell everyone the new laws. He hated it, what made them so special. Who died and made Richard king? Ray, for one, certainly didn't remember voting... He sighed and pressed the cold metal of his lighter to his lips. Richard couldn't lead his way out of a cardboard box... Ray needed to prove that he was better than Richard, but how? Frame him...
Ray grinned, the idea was genius! He smiled and wandered across town, he didn't need to check for traffic, no one was driving... He chuckled as the traffic lights blinked pointlessly from red to green. He ignored a bunch of five year old's who asked him when the adults were coming back. He reached the hardware store and smiled, a warehouse full of wood. No one was in this part of town, they were too busy at the town hall. He walked inside, holding his lighter tightly in his left hand.
The lights were already on, even though it was daytime. He wandered through the abandoned store, wood stacked high on either side of him. Wooden doors, fences, posts, all for sale and stacked on shelves. He smiled and flicked the lid of his lighter open, exposing the flame. He calmly held the lighter next to a thin strand of wood, which set the end on fire. He picked up the pole of wood, now half alight and threw it onto a pile of dry wood. The entire pile set on fire. Ray grinned and watched as the fire spread around the store. He turned and ran out the store, within minutes the whole building was on fire. This was brilliant, simply brilliant! He ran back to the town centre, panting hard, he stood up on top of the fountain.
"FIRE!!"
