[b]It all went down the exact same way. Perdido Beach, a small town ooziing with radiation without anyone's knowledge. Then they FAYZ came and everything changed.

Raimundo opened the fridge, it was still more or less full. He took a Doughnut and closed the fridge, wandering out of the kitchen and into the messy lounge. He put on a DVD, "Hancock", Will Smith, a great actor. He watched as Hancock flew through the city, like it was as easy as walking. Hancock used his strength to stop a train and save a man's life, even though he did cause a train-wreck. That was a prime example of freaks in Perdido, they had power, they bragged about it and most importantly, they didn't know how to use their powers for the greater good. The thought of people with powers made him sick to his stomach. Filthy mutated freaks!!

He switched off the TV patiently, he didn't feel like watching Hancock any more. He wandered out onto his porch and watched the kids next door. Dylan and Jake, the twins, they were around six year's of age and they were playing marbles, watching the road in case their parents would come home, they would be waiting for a long time. Ray sighed, he didn't want to tell the boys in case he'd upset them. Instead he too looked as far as the road stretched, secretly hoping at least one adult would appear.

He glanced at the metal lighter in his left hand, it reminded him of his father, he hated his father. He had 'poofed' in the middle of an argument, the cigarette in his mouth fell onto the sofa and the lighter fell to the floor. The sofa had caught fire, but Ray was more shocked about the sudden vanishing. He put the fire out with a bucket of water and stood stunned at the strange occurrence that had happened in his living room. Oh well, he was used to the lack of adults now, he could do what he wanted, when he wanted without any consequence. But that was threatened by Richard and his Rules.

Demi looked down at her nails, painted a bright shade of almost aqua blue. The polish was tearing off slightly around the sides. It would have been almost acceptable if they weren’t already ugly, due to the fact that Demi had already bitten her nails quite a bit. It wasn’t a habit of hers. It was something she did on two occasions, one of them being her suffering from extreme boredom – which wasn’t the case this time. The other being when she was nervous. Neither of these two things happen often, considering Demi is the type to never be bored, or nervous – well, maybe nervous on the inside. But never enough so that she shows it in her actions.

It was because lately, she’d been feeling unusually scared. Of quite a few things. One of them – the first one, the main one – was the freaks. They were taking over Perdido beach, and she didn’t like it one bit. She had nothing against the freaks. Some of them probably were decent people, who wouldn’t use their power for evil. But that wasn’t the point. They had the ability to, and the choice to, and she was terrified of them. It was insane. How could they let these people, who aren’t human, run the FAYZ? Oh, that’s right. Richard was probably a freak too. But there was a bright side, wasn’t there? That boy, who’d rebelled against Richard. He was going to start a rebellion. And Demi – only half for protection – wanted in. But that was another thing that frightened her.

She wanted to join badly, she knew it’d have to get big soon, there’d be a whole army of the non-aliens in Perdido Beach. But now there was only Ray, maybe a few others Demi didn’t know about. The freaks had the power to murder her if she even opened her mouth to them. She couldn’t just go joining a rebellion like that, could she? Then of course there was the possibility that she’d get rejected, that he wouldn’t let her join. Then she’d be dead on the spot, before she could say a word against it.

Then of course there was the possibility of her becoming a freak, which she didn’t even want to enter into...

But would she say any of this, to anyone? No way. She didn’t even know half of it. It was like she was wearing her makeup so much that she’d forgotten what her face looked like without any. Of course, she enjoyed the carefree Demi a lot more than the sensitive one. But since only one Demi existed to her, it didn’t matter much.

Staring at her blue nails, dreamily, humming the tune to a song she’d forgotten the name of, she tripped on the pavement. She managed to catch herself before she fell, though, and looked up to see if anyone had saw her moment of rare embarrassment. And was it just luck the Ray Stryder was right there at the door of the house in front of her? Probably. And Demi enjoyed luck. So she figured she’d better not waste it. But she sussed out how she’d do it first.

Say hi, if he talks to you, ask him. If he doesn’t... Get on with your life. The voice in her head sounded a lot more charismatic than it really was. Sounded like a good plan, anyway. She’d go for it.

Demi smiled at him, giving him the peace sign, which was a regular greeting from Demi whether you knew her or not.
”Hi, Ray!” She called casually. Demi knew he probably expected – if not wanted – everyone to know his name anyway. She’d heard it that day in the plaza, and, since she hadn’t stopped worrying about joining the rebellion, hasn’t forgotten it since.

Raimundo flicked the cap of his lighter open and shut again and again. He sighed and looked up at the sky. No, it wasn't the sky, it was the dome, the FAYZ. It only looked like the sky because of the false atmosphere inside the dome. He shook his head, it felt like this entire nightmare was all a bad dream, he was just waiting for himself to wake up with a fright. But there was no waking up, no bad dream, just the continuous nightmare of the FAYZ. Food would run out soon, for sure! Kids were wasting what little resources they had, Richard hadn't taken that into consideration. Ray had. Case closed.

"Hi Ray!"

Ray turned his head, a girl around his age was standing on the sidewalk. He raised an eyebrow, closing the lighter in his left hand. It seemed everyone knew him. Ray Stryder, the boy who spoke out. The Rebel.

"Hey..." He said, did she want something?

Demi raised her eyebrow at how he seemingly disliked her greeting, and stood there, looking at him, rather charismatically for a second. She was always like that. She had reasons to be, too. One being her appearance. Her dark hair was always very straight, with slight but distinct waves near the end, and her style, her unique dress style that involved her turning school uniforms into chic everydaywear. Of course, Demi knew that right now, in the FAYZ, it really wasn’t the time for that. But she did, because, for one, it annoyed many people, freak or human, which she almost enjoyed doing considering she had a lot of friends anyway, and for two, she just enjoyed looking good.

“I just wanted to ask you something,” She stated, in a voice that suggested she didn’t actually want to. She was perfect at that. Her personality was like her own little concealer for everything weak and sensitive about her. She rarely – no, actually, never – had shown that she was easily hurt. But then again, Demi had never experienced any real pain. Just enough so that she was able to cover it up easily. Another thing she was afraid of in the FAYZ, losing her composure, no matter what the reason was.

Jonathan watched curiously as a girl approached the Rebel. He squinted, trying to guess what they were talking about. The Rebel, damned if he remembered his name, spoke out against Richard, the FAYZ leader. There were rumors that Rebel wanted to start a rebellion, normals against 'freaks'. He had seen a freak in action, sort of. A girl, a new girl, her name was... Alda? Something like that. He wondered why Rebel, he had decided he would simply call him that, hated freaks. He was either afraid of them, though freaks like Alda has useless powers, or... he was a freak. He shook his head. It was probably the former of the two, but for the sake of being nosy, Jonathan decided to befriend the Rebel, I will have to start by learning his name, of course.

He turned to his right and checked himself out in a window. He smirked. Goodness, I'm handsome, he thought. Even after months of not having enough food to eat or a decent shower, he was still handsome. He felt his face turn red when he remembered what the new girl, Alda, he reminded himself, said to him. You vile, narcissistic, self-centered, brute! Out of my way! she had shouted. He almost growled. She has no respect. He would teach her. Rebel hated freaks, so Rebel would hate her, Jonathan reasoned, I wouldn't even have to lay a finger on her.

He smirked, straightened his wrinkled collar shirt, and walked up to the couple. "Hello, my fellow normal beings." He greeted them.

Kell survey his empty house with lazily, hands in his pockets. At that moment, he was standing on his ceiling, upside down. Well, not technically standing. He was actually floating upside down, feet pressed against the ceiling, gravity unable to pull him down. Strangely even his hair floated, swishing around his head with each movement, like he was underwater. However it was only his body that seemed to do this, which was why his shirt was riding up around his stomach. He sighed and allowed himself to slowly spin upright until he was hovering just a few inches off the ground, hair still swishing around his head.

Kell could fly, unhindered by gravity; that was his power, and probably the best thing that had ever happened to him. At that moment he desperately wanted to be outside, gliding through the air over the FAYZ. But he couldn't. It wasn't dark out yet, and it was dangerous to fly by daylight. Kell knew there were people who didn't like his kinds--freaks as they called those with powers--and as mild as his powers were, they were a lot more noticeable than the other kid's. His power presented the greater perception of danger--with the others being grounded and being unable to reach him to retaliate, if ever needed--which would make him a target. So with a heavy sigh he floated down the hall towards his room, before landing and walking the rest of the way towards his bed. Maybe a nap will help keep my mind off of things, he thought dryly.

Secondly if you're Roleplaying about something that has nothing to do with Ray's house, could you please move it to another topic? Thanks Very Happy))

Ray smiled, wondering what she wanted to ask him, he didn't even know her name, but he knew that she was attractive. Obviously she felt the same way about him, he could tell by the happy-go-lucky attitude she was putting on. He chuckled and slipped his lighter into his pocket. "Ask away" He said with a smile, leaning on the wooden post of his porch.

"Hello, my fellow normal beings" Came another voice, this time a boy's. Ray looked at the boy, who was slightly taller than him. He stood on his tip-toes discretely to look taller. "Fellow normal beings"? Was this guy implying that he knew that they were normal? He shrugged, word had obviously gotten around that Ray was a normal, true as it was, no one knew for a fact. And how did he know that the girl was normal too?
"Hey..." Ray said, suddenly he jumped down from the porch and became more engaged with the boy and the girl, "I'm Ray Styder..." He said, and then added, "..Freak Hater"

Jonathan nodded. Ray, he thought to himself, that's his name. "I heard that, the whole freak hater bit." He gave him his signature smirk, "And I also heard this was the place to go, and you were the person to see, if one thought that freaks were getting out of control and needed... to be taken care of." He paused, "Did I hear correctly?" He held up his hands, sending a message of peace, "My name is Jonathan, or Johnny, Pelgero. I have no power, or anything. I know everyone on the council has powers," Including that disrespecting little- he cleared his throat. "I, personally, do not think that's fair."

He fell silent, watching Ray with almost a bored looked his face. It was important for Ray to think he had the upper hand in this relationship, Jonathan thought. It was important for him to think he was the one with all the power. The Leader. That's what he wanted anyways. Jonathan was able to deduct some truths from the sprinkle of rumors out there. Ray hated Richard. And Richard was leader. It's only only right to assume Ray himself wanted to be Leader, any kind of Leader, also.

Demi looked at the two boys, and already she could tell that she probably wasn’t going to get much into the conversation. This happened often, whenever she wanted to speak to someone, particularly in private, someone would come along and the whole idea of talking with someone on their own was cast away entirely. But she supposed it made it difference if they were trying to achieve the same goal, right? Well that’s how it seemed. This new boy had strode on over, for the exact reason she had, and said pretty much what she would have said if she’d got the chance to. So she took advantage of that.

”Same.” She nodded in Johnny’s direction. It wasn’t fair. How were they suposed to be persuaded that freaks aren’t taking over if everyone who does anything for anyone has some sort of power? She hated it, couldn’t stand what they were doing. There were thousands of humans who would do just as well in any of those jobs. It’d even be more acceptable if just a few of the council members weren’t mutated. But no. All of them were. And Demi didn’t like it.

There was another thing that secretly frightened her, having to do with the freaks and such. It was that obviously, more and more people were mutating by the day. Which meant that any time, any day, she, or any of her friends, could become one. That was her biggest fear. Becoming a freak. Losing control. Hurting someone. She’d never let it happen.

Everything was wrong. But somehow she thought that Ray could help them, all the normals.

It was almost a second after she’d said it, and realised she had to introduce herself, because neither of them knew her name at all, and also because, while there was no indication that she was a freak, there was no indication that she wasn’t either.

”Demi Rennison,” She said, after giving a short space of silence between what she said last, and when she said this, checking so that she wouldn’t look stupid if she started talking and one of the boys cut her off mid sentence. ”I’m a perfectly normal human,”

Ray nodded, "Not one normal person is in that Council Meeting, for all we know, they could be planning something bad..." He stated. It was true, who knew what was going on, they had to rebel, set up a better system. "So, all three of us hate freaks? So it's settled, we'll set up an Anti-Freak Club!!" He grinned, it was brilliant, a place normals could go without the fear of freaks invading their lives!!

And he would be the leader. The freaks would fear them, they'd wish they'd never told people about their powers! Soon, the freaks would flee in fear and Perdido could be normal once more!! Brilliant! Ray chuckled heartily to himself.

Jonathan nodded to himself. Just as he had suspected. "Anti-freak club? And what, you'd be the leader?" he pretended to think about it. Then he grinned a grin that he rarely gave people the pleasure of seeing. He shrugged. "Sounds like a great idea to me."

A small part of Jonathan's brain tugged at his heart. Are you really going to send a harmless, five foot tall girl to her death? Simply because she isn't 'disrespected' you'?, it said. Jonathan scoffed. We're not going to kill anyone, he argued. You've not going to kill anyone, it countered, but goodness knows what Ray has planned.

Jonathan bit his lip. Then he mentally shook his head. No turning back now.

Ray nodded, that meant there were three members. Him, Jonny and Demi. Perfect. "I'll lead you all to salvation..." Ray announced with a smirk. He then put his arm around Jonny's shoudler, "But I'll need a Vice-Leader..." He said, Jonny was quite a bit taller than him and judging by his physical size, would make a great group enforcer.

Soon Richard would be fearing the Rebellion, sure they were short in numbers now, but soon, they'd be huge! He chuckled to himself at the thought of over-running Richard and his band of mutant buddies. Soon Perdido Beach would be a peaceful and freak-free place for everyone normal to live in.

Jonathan smiled and did all he could not to cringe as Ray threw an arm around his shoulder. He had no idea what this kids had against freak in general, though he had his theories. Jonathan ran them over mentally. He afraid of them. That's plausible. Fear cause humans and animals alike to do crazy things. So he is one. That one was not so plausible, but he still wouldn't cross it out. He mentally shrugged. Ray had his reasons, and Jonathan had his.

He grinned at Ray with no hesitation, "Vice-leader? I like it."

Ray patted Jonny on the back, perfect. Now they were getting somewhere. He indicated towards his house and led the other two into his living room. He slouched on the single seater and grabbed a Pepsi from the table. He offered the others one and leant forward to talk. The room stank of food.

"Freaks are dangerous, they need to be dealt with... Controlled!" He said, sipping the Pepsi. "I'm not suggesting we attack, that'll get us killed, but we need to make a deal with Richard, I'm going to propose a No Powers Law! If he objects, we'll blackmail him..." He chuckled at his own genius and slurped on the drink.
